Beetles, Bees, and other Bugs!

Picture
This program explores the world of invertebrates.  We discuss what they do for us as pollinators, decomposers, predators, and their place on the food chain, as well the dangers they pose through infestation/herbivory, stings/bites, and spreading disease.

Next we'll look at some rather large bugs up close: watch the walking stick do ballerina poses, see a millepede blindly crawl, feel their exoskeletons, and hear the hissing cockroach HISSSSSSSS!

Finally, we'll buzz right on to bees, do some honeybee dancing, put on the many "hats" that a worker bee must wear in her lifetime, and enjoy some local honey!

Pricing varies depending on the length of the program and distance from Scarsdale, NY.  For scheduling or pricing, e-mail us at [email protected].
